![]() I don’t think they’re the worst, but there’s definitely no clear advantage to them compared to anything else. B-Tierī-Tier cards don’t excel at anything, and on top of that also have some pretty glaring weaknesses. As with most AoEs it’s best for stopping creature spam, though for 6 cost you kind of wish it would do a little bit more. It doesn’t combo off much, which makes it a strong tool for hail mary plays. Orb of Water is another really great crowd control tool, and one that synergizes with your wizard themselves since you can move the orb to collect more targets. That being said the difference between it and Piertotum in terms of utility is really philosophical, since Thunderstorm could help you deal with enemy creatures much faster by simply ensuring there are no more creatures on the board. That being said, the random selection is what really holds back the card, since you lose the ability to snipe out specific problem creatures. In the early game its Heal Reduction ability isn’t entirely relevant, but wizards who use cards like the spiders will find themselves hard countered since Thunderstorm gains power the more targets it has. Thunderstorm is another good AoE card, having the potential to punish enemies who overuse summons by attacking every target on the board. They usually have one glaring setback, but not enough to ruin choosing the card altogether. A-TierĪ tier cards are generally considered good, but not necessarily must-picks. Don’t forget it also stacks with the Bombtastic Bomb Box, buffing their slow speed and doing good AOE damage. Considering how many of the lower-cost cards involve summoning creatures, Piertotum Locomotor is a good way to keep creeps off your character. ![]() Taunting in Harry Potter Magic Awakened is pretty strong, since on top of drawing attention the cards take laughably reduced incoming damage.
